How to deal with stainless steel degaussing
Stainless steel degaussing can be processed by heating or degaussing machines.
Because stainless steel will produce weak magnetism after cold processing, to eliminate this magnetism after heat treatment can eliminate this magnetism. If heating is not possible, there is a degaussing machine for degaussing.
The specific method of degaussing:
Solid solution annealing and bright annealing can be done.
Solution annealing, or carbide solution annealing, a process in which the finished product is heated to more than 1850 deg F(1010 degrees Celsius) to remove the carbide precipitation (that is, the carbon that has escaped from the stainless steel solid solution), after which it is rapidly cooled, usually by quenching with water, and the carbides contained are returned to the stainless steel solid solution.
Bright annealing, commonly known as brilliant annealing, is mainly heated in a confined space after annealing, so that the temperature is slowly cooled in a confined space below at least 500 degrees and then naturally cooled, there will be brilliance and not cause decarbonization.
Attention:
Stainless steel cannot be demagnetized by chemical methods.
The so-called magnetic stainless steel strip is the original non-magnetic stainless steel to obtain magnetic, in this process, the object has countless molecular current orientation messy, macro objects do not show magnetism. Under the action of an external magnetic field, the orientation of these molecular currents changes and tends to be consistent, so that the macroscopic object shows magnetism, that is, the object is magnetized.
The chemical reaction only changes the molecule and does not change the internal current, so the chemical reaction does not demagnetize.
